After the successful experience with the San Carlos Community Center and having identified the needs and problems of its inhabitants, the FSC decided to continue working in the Suba district.
With 11 years of experience helping to educate youngsters, the FSC saw the difficulties that high school graduates have finding work or trying to attend higher education programs.
This situation gave rise to S.E.L.A (Servicio Local de Aprendizaje).
It is a project to promote learning (apprenticeship) and formation in different technical areas, aimed at the needs and interests of these young students.
In this program the students learn crafts, receive guidance in employment search and, in general, help them adjust to the new environment after school.
